What’s The Longest You’ve Gone Without Rooting or Flashing?

For some people, rooting comes and goes. Sometimes we claim to be satisfied with a new phone, pretending it has everything we need. After the honeymoon phase ends, we often fall back onto old habits and quickly want our old root features back — from adaway to Xposed. Eventually, the stock ROM might become boring altogether, prompting us to look for better battery life, performance or features through custom ROMs or Kernels. And every now and then, we go to stock for a big new update and don’t root for a while.

What is the longest you’ve gone without rooting or flashing a phone? Do you do this soon after getting a new phone, or do you wait until you get a feel for your new hardware first?
